Plans & billing
Each plan is a flat monthly price (EUR) with a monthly character cap. Here's how the tiers compare and how usage is counted.
Plans
| Plan | Price | Monthly cap | DeepL access | Auto-translate | Glossary |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 0€ | 15,000 chars | 5,000 chars, then Azure | 1 channel, 1 lang | 5 words |
| Pro | 2.99€ | 50,000 chars | Whole cap (no Azure fallback) | 2 langs / channel | 20 words |
| Max | 19.99€ | 400,000 chars | Whole cap (no Azure fallback) | Unlimited langs | Unlimited |
The Monthly cap is the hard limit: Pro is 50,000 characters per month and Max is 400,000. The DeepL access column is separate: on Free you can use the premium DeepL engine for only the first 5,000 characters each month (after that translations fall back to Azure), whereas on Pro and Max you can use DeepL for your entire monthly cap, with no separate DeepL sub-limit. It does not remove the 50k/400k cap.
Pro and Max also advertise "Unlimited translations" (the asterisk on the plan card means: unlimited only when using an AI engine, OpenAI or Gemini; AI translations don't count against your cap). Both paid plans include formality and can hide the repost branding link. Max additionally gets the highest-priority queue, early access, and email support. (Message styles are available to admins on every plan.)
Monthly AI allowances
Besides the character cap, each plan includes monthly allowances for the AI-powered features. These are metered separately from characters and reset with the calendar month:
| Allowance | Free | Pro | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI (OpenAI) translations | 25 | 1,000 | Unlimited |
| Image translations | 2 | 25 | Unlimited |
| Explain (idioms, slang & tone) | 3 | 50 | Unlimited |
| Voice message transcription | 1 min | 10 min | 2 hr |
Text-to-speech (/speak) | ~1 min | ~10 min | ~2 hr |
| Live voice channel captions | Not included | Not included | Included |
See Voice & audio for how the voice features work and how they're measured.
Founder badge
The first 100 people to subscribe to any paid plan become Founders. A Founder gets a permanent Founder badge on the dashboard and, if you're in our community Discord server, a Founder role there: a thank-you for backing the project early. It's awarded automatically on your first subscription and is yours to keep.
How metering works
The monthly cap is consumed first, then any purchased character packs, which carry over between months and don't reset.
- DeepL allowance: the amount of your cap that can use the premium DeepL engine. Free = 5,000 characters, after which translations auto-fall back to Azure. Paid plans can use DeepL for their whole cap.
- OpenAI is uncapped. OpenAI translations don't consume the cap or your packs and are never blocked. Only DeepL and Azure draw down the cap. (See Translation engines.)
- Priority queue. When lots of translations happen at once, paid plans are served ahead of free ones (Max ahead of Pro). Under normal load there's no wait at all.
The cap resets at the start of each calendar month. Purchased packs do not reset.
Character packs
One-time top-ups added to your balance, consumed after your monthly cap is used up, and carried over between months:
| Pack | Characters | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 75K | 75,000 | 3.49€ |
| 200K | 200,000 | 8.99€ |
| 500K | 500,000 | 21.99€ |
| 1M | 1,000,000 | 42.99€ |
| 5M | 5,000,000 | 199.99€ |
Buy them on the dashboard Character packs page.
Payments
Subscriptions and character packs are paid for through Stripe Checkout, a secure, hosted payment page. The bot never sees or stores your card details. After a successful payment your plan or pack balance updates automatically. If you've subscribed, you can manage or cancel your subscription from Settings → Subscription.
Gift a plan
You can gift 1 or 12 months of Pro or Max to another user from Settings → Subscription → Gift a plan. Paste their Discord user ID (Discord Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode, then right-click the user → Copy User ID), check the name preview, and pay once through Stripe Checkout.
The gift applies to the recipient's account automatically and they get a DM when it starts. If they already have their own subscription, the gift waits and applies by itself once that subscription ends. Gifting the same plan twice extends the gift. When a gift runs out, the account returns to Free (or to their own subscription if they have one). Gifts are one-time payments, never auto-renewing.
