Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Low's Translator (the "Service"), a Discord application and website at https://translate.lowe.lol, operated by Lowe Garmark, an individual based in Sweden (the "Operator", "we", "us"). By adding the Service to your Discord account or a server, or by using our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Low's Translator translates Discord messages into a language you choose, via a right-click command, flag reactions, and optional channel auto-translation. Translations are produced by third-party engines (DeepL and Microsoft Azure Translator). The Service also provides a web dashboard for managing your language, usage, plan, and support tickets.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord and by the law of your country, which may be higher) and able to form a binding contract. You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.
3. Your account
The Service uses Discord for sign-in. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your Discord account in connection with the Service.
4. Plans, billing, and payments
- The Service offers a free tier, paid subscription plans (Pro and Max), and one-time character packs.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in EUR and, where applicable, are inclusive of VAT.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard's billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then.
- Character packs are one-time purchases. Purchased characters are added to your balance, do not expire, and are used after your monthly allowance.
- Monthly plan allowances reset each calendar month and do not roll over.
- Except where required by law (e.g. statutory withdrawal/refund rights for EU consumers), payments are non-refundable. Where EU consumer law grants a right of withdrawal, beginning to use a digital service immediately may waive that right once the service is fully performed.
- We may change plan features and pricing; changes will not affect a period you have already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to translate or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content; abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the limits or security of the Service; violate Discord's rules or the rights of others; or resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our permission. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
6. Channel auto-translation
If you enable auto-translation for a channel, you confirm you have the necessary permissions in that server and are responsible for ensuring members are aware the channel is auto-translated. Auto-translation usage is billed against the character balance of the account that enabled it.
7. Translation accuracy
Translations are produced by automated machine-translation systems and may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is provided for convenience, and we do not warrant that translations are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Do not rely on the Service for legal, medical, financial, or other high-stakes communications.
8. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of it at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, and website, is owned by the Operator and protected by applicable law. These Terms grant you no ownership rights. You retain any rights you hold in the content you submit for translation.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the application. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 7, 9, 11, and 12) will survive.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Sweden, again without affecting your mandatory rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
